Spotlight on Grain Valley 🎄

Grain Valley may feel small, but it shows up BIG for Christmas.

GV Santa Bus – Grain Valley Neighborhoods
For almost three decades, the GV Santa Bus has driven up and down every street in Grain Valley, handing out toys and candy and letting kids visit with Santa.   GV Santa Bus Link

• What it is: A decorated bus with Santa visiting neighborhood after neighborhood

• When: Multiple Saturdays & Sundays between Thanksgiving and Christmas (check the GV Santa website or Facebook group for this year’s route & schedule) Grain Valley Santa Bus

• Cost: Free; donations from local businesses help keep the tradition going

A Visit with Santa Claus – MCPL Grain Valley Branch

• Where: Mid-Continent Public Library – Grain Valley Branch, Grain Valley Community Room

• When: Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025 | 6:30–7:30 p.m.   Mid-Continent Public Library Grain Valley

• Details: Story with Santa, simple craft, and time for photos. Registration required and often wait-listedgrab a spot early. 

Storytime with Santa & Mrs. Claus – Grain Valley Branch

• Where: MCPL – Grain Valley Branch

• When: Dec. 10, 2025 | 10:30 a.m. Story Time with Santa and Mrs. Claus

• Details: Santa and Mrs. Claus read a holiday story and visit with kids; registration required. 

  Holiday Festival & Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting

•  An annual community event featuring the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Christmas carols by the GVR5 Fifth-Grade Choirs, and a free holiday-themed movie in the park. December 4, 6-8 pm, The ceremony will be followed by hot chocolate, cookies, and visits with Santa Claus.

Spotlight on Blue Springs 🎅

Blue Springs is loaded with Santa moments in 2025:

North Pole Trail of Lights & Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting at Rotary Park

• Where: Rotary Park, Blue Springs, MO

• Trail Dates: Dec. 2–30, 2025

• Hours:

  • Mon–Thu: 5–9 p.m.

  • Fri–Sun: 5–10 p.m.

• Cost: Free

• Santa: Meet Santa every Friday & Saturday before Christmas, 6–9 p.m. at the trail.

Christmas on Main – Downtown Blue Springs Downtown Blue Springs

• Where: City Parking Lot, 107 SW 10th St, Blue Springs, MO

• When: Dec. 6, 2025 | 2–8 p.m.

• Highlights: Pictures with Santa, downtown festivities, and family activities.

Blue Springs Women’s Civic Club…Santa Visits (Christmas Eve) Santa Visits

• What it is: Santa makes home visits on Christmas Eve, with proceeds supporting scholarships in the Blue Springs School District.

• How to participate: Sign-up details are usually posted each year in the Blue Springs community Facebook groups or via the Civic Club.

Lee’s Summit – Museums, Lights & Breakfast with Santa 🎁

Lee’s Summit is one of the heaviest-hit Santa zones

• When: Nov. 29, Dec. 6, 13 & 20, 2025 | 3–5 p.m.

• Details: Meet Santa among historic holiday displays, perfect for those old-fashioned Christmas photos.

Breakfast with Santa – The Summit Church Breakfast with Santa at The Summit Church

• Where: The Summit Church, 3381 NW Chipman Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO

• When: Breakfast with Santa 2025 (date listed around Dec. 6 at 9:00am.

• Details: Pancake breakfast + photos with Santa; pre-registration usually required. $5 per person or $20 per family.

Breakfast with Santa Cow – Chick-fil-A Summit Fair Santa Cow

• Where: Chick-fil-A, Summit Fair, Lee’s Summit

• When: Typically Dec. 13 & Dec. 20 (check Chick-fil-A Summit Fair’s Facebook page for 2025 times).

• Details: Photos with Santa Cow, kids’ activities, and holiday treats.

Christmas in the Park & Christmas in the Sky – Longview Lake Christmas In The Park

• Where: Longview Lake / Frank White Jr. Softball Complex & Longview Lake Beach

• Dates: Late November–Dec. 31, 2025

• Details: Massive free drive-through light display with over a million lights, plus Christmas in the Sky fireworks and Santa appearance on opening night.

🎅 Creating Lifelong Santa Memories

There’s just something special about this season, the lights, the laughter, the excitement in their eyes when they see Santa for the first time (or the tenth).
